WHY???
The Roof!
You would have noticed if passing by, scaffolding, rooftop safety rails and access towers in place surrounding the club, all designed to enable further visual understanding as to the integrity of the main roof, which has failed in numerous places allowing water ingress into the main arena, this making it unsafe for use!
The work required is most certainly significant but essential and can confirm that Joseph Rowntree’s, the owners of the building, are engaged in action to remedy the problem, whereupon and for our part, we must exercise patience in support of the matter.
In addition to this, please be aware that I will be attending my first face to face meeting with Mr Paul Kissack, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation & Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust new CEO, whom I have invited to the club on May 19th for open talks, and as you can imagine, I consider this to be a most highly desirable situation giving the opportunity to agreeably strengthen ties based on factual understanding, which all bodes so very well for the future!
Of course, shortly after my meeting with Paul, I will be announcing the date of our first “Open Forum” of 2021, as there will be so much to update you with, as our Michelle and Action Groups have not stopped in playing their part to ensure a strong future for us all!
Onwards & Upwards!
